Education:
BFA Theater/Performance University of Georgia
Previous Work Experience:
I have been teaching and directing theater education
classes throughout Charlotte for the past 17 years. I have
directed plays, taught summer camps, led teacher workshops for
accreditation, written plays and curriculum. When not at
Socrates Academy, I can be found directing children's theater at
Matthews Playhouse. I am the Artistic Director of
Lighthearted Productions. Lighthearted Productions partners
with schools to provide extended learning opportunities while using
drama to enrich the lives of young people. I have previously taught
at Children's Theater of Charlotte, Discovery Place and the Nature
Museum.
Personal Interests:
I love to spend time with my family, pajama days and
weekend get a ways. I also enjoy storytelling, teaching
preschool workshops, photography and scrapbooking.
