Previous Work Experience:
I am a second career teacher, so my work experience is diverse. I spent the first ten years of my career in Corporate America, and have since worked in public education.

Personal Interests:
I was classically trained in voice at Indiana University, and I currently sing with a jazz group in and around the Charlotte area. I also enjoy reading and indoor rock climbing. I have 2 daughters who keep me jumping!

Previous Work Experience: I'm a second career teacher, so I have quite a diverse background.  I worked in the custom home building field for four years.  I have coached MS soccer at HTCMS and PDS, as well as basketball at HTCMS.

Personal Interests:  I love to travel, especially going to the beach.  I love the Carolina Panthers.

Personal Interests:
Books are always within reaching distance because I love to read.  I enjoy a challenge and I am teaching myself sign language and photography.  If I am not on a road trip with family, friends, and my dog, Samson, then you can find me at the movies or theatre productions.

Personal Interests:
Most of my personal time is spent being a wife, and mother of 2 girls. We take about 3 road trips a year to either Florida or Rhode Island where our family lives. I enjoy exercising, reading, and cooking new recipes. I also have a passion for U.S. History, particularly the Civil Rights Movement.

The mission of the Socrates Academy is to work in partnership with parents and community to encourage our students to reach their full potential by developing critical, analytical thinking skills and becoming self-confident in a high achievement, multicultural, disciplined environment. Particular emphasis will be placed on developing proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics both in English and Greek through the use of the Socratic Method.
