Our Mission

The mission of the Socrates Academy is to work in partnership with parents and community to encourage our students to reach their full potential by developing critical, analytical thinking skills and becoming self-confident in a high achieving, multicultural, disciplined environment. Particular emphasis is placed on developing proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics both in English and Greek through the use of the Socratic Method.

We are very excited to get Golf Squad students back swinging at Socrates Academy and registrations are now open through the link below. If you are already registered, can't wait to start swinging again!  Flag Football Logo



Go 4 It Athletics is a flag football program for 3rd – 5th grade boys and girls, with all experience levels. This 4 week long program includes 8 sessions and a flag football tournament to conclude the season. The tournament will also include participants from other schools. During the season the boys and girls will learn fun lead up games, rules and skills of flag football while also developing different character traits like sportsmanship, perseverance, integrity and teamwork.

$99 Fee Includes:8 after school sessions, 1 tournament (Saturday April 22nd) with other schools, t-shirt with number and wrist band.

From magnets to rockets to nature (and everything in between!)  Atomz Lab enrichment programs captivate and stimulate the minds of every inquisitive child.  Your child will marvel at the cool demonstrations and engage in hands-on experiments.  OUR SCIENCE PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO AMAZE AND DELIGHT CURIOUS YOUNG MINDS!

Come join us afterschool as we explore several different techniques of hand building with clay.  We will be working with pinch pot, coil, slab and additive methods of sculpting.  All Projects will be glazed and fired.

Running Owls - Girls Running Program

This running program is for girls inspires confidence in girls in 3rd through 5th grade. We will be holding two sessions with Mrs. Wessel and Ms. MacCauley for 8 weeks.


When: Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday 3:30-4:45

8 week program starting March 20th-May 15th

Week of 3/20, 3/27, 4/3, 4/17, 4/24, 5/1, 5/8, 5/15

Where: Socrates Academy

Who: 2nd-5th grade girls…Run by Mrs. Wessel, Mrs. Meekins, Mrs. Kondilis & parent volunteers

What: Running Owls is an all-girl running club that meets once a week. We will provide a healthy snack for the girls and discuss the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. After our snack we will stretch and RUN! There will be some community services activities involved as well.

How much: $75 per child…this money will pay for a T-shirt and healthy snack will be provided.
