The work done over the past few weeks has been amazing. The building is right on schedule and we are less than a week away from completion.  Here are the latest pictures of the progress.

The exterior of the building is almost complete and the interior walls have been put up.  There is a lot of work going on at the school and watching the building take shape has been really exciting.  Here are the latest pictures of the progress.

The building is really starting to take shape.  Brick siding is being installed and the roof is being put on.  The exterior of the building should be completed by the end of the week.

Now that the metal structure is completed the exterior wall is starting to go up.

The building is starting to take shape. After a little rain that put us about a day or so behind, the sun is out and the steel is going up.

The plumbing was dug and installed and then the concrete foundation for the building was poured.  It will take about 4 days to settle and then we will start to construct the steel structure for the building.

The Socrates Academy Board of Directors and Socrates Academy Foundation Board of Trustees closed on a bank loan that loan and purchased the land for the future Socrates Academy middle school.  Click Here to read the letter that explains the full details of the purchase and loan.

Changes since the Town Hall Meeting: 

We will NOT have to move the playground or relocate the retention pond on our property.  In fact, we have moved the location of the Interim Building from behind the current gymnasium to our new property where the "old house" currently sits.  This location change will reduce our site preparation costs and help limit interference and distractions to the current campus.  These are very exciting changes as they will allow us to begin the project in April and also help keep our costs down. In addition, this building will now include a full science lab as well as classrooms for our scholars.

- Middle School Building
- Curriculum
- Atheltics
- Capital Campaign

The mission of the Socrates Academy is to work in partnership with parents and community to encourage our students to reach their full potential by developing critical, analytical thinking skills and becoming self-confident in a high achievement, multicultural, disciplined environment. Particular emphasis will be placed on developing proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics both in English and Greek through the use of the Socratic Method.
