An Overview of Linksys Extender Setup
Using the web-based setup page Extender.Linksys.Com, the Linksys Extender Setup is carried out. In order to solve the problem of WiFi dead zones, WiFi range extenders were created. Prior to broadcasting to the connected devices, these devices magnify the WiFi signals coming from your network router. By doing this, WiFi signals get stronger and penetration loss is reduced.
The first step in setting up a Linksys range extender via http://extender.linksys.com is to log in to the setup page. The actions you need to take to log in are listed below:
The power cable should be used to connect the extender to the power source. Keep waiting until the lights are steady.
Connect the extender to the WiFi network in your house using an Ethernet connection.
Verify that the Ethernet wire is uncut and that the Ethernet ports are in good working order. Finger-tight connections are required.
Open your computer's web browser now, and in the address box, type http://extender.linksys.com.
Once you press Enter, a username and password prompt will appear.
Fill in the default credentials. (If the username or password are incorrect or if you don't know the default password, contact experts.)
After entering the credentials, click on “Login”.
You will be directed to the extender.linksys.com setup page for Linksys range extender configuration after a brief delay.
Note: The instructions listed above are for extenders that are not configured. Refer to the following section to reach the Linksys smart WiFi setup page if your extender is already set up.
