BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL

​In conjunction with the school wide mission statement, it is our objective to provide a safe, exciting, intriguing and challenging program that extends beyond the regular school day. We want every scholar to be more confident and enriched because of the extended time they spend at Socrates.

Before & After School Enrichment Program (ASEP)

Before School

Middle School7:15 a.m. – 7:50 a.m.

Morning Drop-Off: Parents must escort their child into the building and ensure a staff member is present. For safety reasons, students may not be dropped off outside unattended.

After School

Middle School3:10 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Families with both a Lower School and Middle School scholar may enroll their Middle School scholar in the Sibling Waiting Program from 3:10–3:45 p.m. while waiting for Lower School dismissal.

Sibling Waiting Program: $80 per month

Registration

  • $25 non-refundable registration fee per child

  • All ASEP staff are employees of Socrates Academy and have completed background checks.

  • Monthly schedules and activities are determined by the ASEP Director.

  • $156/month is the minimum monthly tuition.

  • Students attending only 1 or 2 days per week are still charged the minimum monthly rate of $156.

  • A 10% sibling discount is available when siblings are enrolled in Before School or After School.

Before School

Payment Policies

  • Tuition is paid monthly in advance.

  • Payment is due on or before the 1st of each month.

  • Payments received after the 5th are subject to a $25 late fee.

  • Students with two months of unpaid tuition will not be permitted to attend until the account is brought current.

Attendance & Sick Days

ASEP tuition reserves your child's space in the program.

Monthly tuition is due regardless of attendance. No refunds or prorated tuition will be issued for absences, illness, vacations, or partial-month attendance.

Late Pick-Up Policy

ASEP closes promptly at 6:00 p.m.

  • Late pick-ups are charged $1.00 per minute, payable in cash at pick-up to the supervising counselor as compensation for overtime.

  • Repeated late pick-ups may result in removal from the program.

  • After five late pick-ups, a parent meeting will be scheduled to discuss continued enrollment.

Homework Assistance

Homework assistance is available based on staffing and space availability.

Extracurricular Enrichment

Additional enrichment opportunities may be offered throughout the year. Information, registration, and payment details will be provided as programs become available.

Behavior Expectations

Scholars are expected to follow the Socrates Academy Kindergarten–8th Grade Code of Conduct and Discipline Policy while participating in ASEP.

Socrates Academy reserves the right to dismiss, without refund, any scholar whose behavior becomes unsafe or unmanageable.
