AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT

In addition to our well-rounded curriculum, we offer enrichment classes to scholars to introduce them to new skills and interests or foster exisiting talents. Our enrichments are taught by staff or other community professionals who are formally trained and educated within their respective fields. 

In addtion, the Socrates Academy Athletics program offers Open Gym, and Skill Clinics through the year.

Additional Enrichments will be added throughout the school year.

Greek Dance Club for Adults

Students will experience Greece's rich cultural heritage through traditional folk dances. Greek dance club is a place for inclusive movement and the celebration of Greek culture. Students will learn dances and songs from a variety of geographical areas of Greece. All you need to bring is a willingness to move and learn.

Each semester we explore a variety of media and have fun constructing 2-D and 3-D art. Activities include clay sculpting, painting, printmaking, upcycled art, sewing, crafts and more! Each semester costs $180 and includes all materials. Class runs from 3:30-4:30 Thursday afternoons. Space is limited to 16 scholars. Students will be picked up thru a carpool line at the middle school building at 4:30.

Join Ms. Perry a certified yoga instructor for Music and Movement where you guessed it, yoga is the focus. Yoga is a fun way to exercise our bodies, our breath, and our minds all at the same time. Music and movement will be filled with songs, silly stories, stretches, imaginary play, and activities that engage children and give them the tools to feel calmer, happier, and more peaceful inside. Join us for our Make it, Glaze it two-week art enrichment.
We sculpt a wet earthenware clay project on week one and then glaze it on week two. A perfect time to create a handmade gift from your scholar for gift giving. Cost is $35.
