Students will work with an array of hand building techniques while working with earthenware clay. Students will also have the opportunity to paint on pre-cast bisque ware. All work will be kiln fired and finished by exploring a variety of techniques.

Your student will explore characteristics of different styles of music of different countries by learning songs and a dance from that country, PLUS making their own instruments.

Let's Learn about Greece!

Theme:

Campers will learn how to prepare simple Greek dishes, such as Greek salad, tzatziki, spanakopita, koulourakia (cookies) and more. Please inform Mrs. Cowles if your child has any dietary restrictions or allergies.

Playing a Drum
Summer Stomp

Rising 3rd - 5th Grade

Kids will be engaged in the popular Stomp-style percussion camp. Rhythm will come alive as students use wacky instruments, their bodies, and games to play and perform musical patterns. Campers will use objects such as buckets, paint cans, trash cans, household items, like pots & pans, brooms, or anything else the kids can get their hands on to create rhythm and music. We will learn to read, write, and play rhythms using a wide range of percussive instruments. They will even make their own instruments at the camp to take home.

This will be a book club to encourage Summer reading among our middle schoolers (rising 7-9 graders). Each session will cover a different novel and will meet for two hours twice a week. The first novel will be and Uglies by Scott Westerfeld. Session 1 will meet June 19 & 21 and June 26 &28. Session 2 will meet July 10 & 12 and July 17 & 19. Bring your own book and composition notebook.

Under the Sea Art Camp

It's a Jungle Out There

During this camp, participants will learn the fundamentals of basketball from ball handling skills, passing, shooting, defensive and offensive skill work. We will work our way from beginner, intermediate, to advanced drills depending on the participants skill level. There will be games as well that utilize and sharpen the mentioned fundamental skills. At the end of the week there will be a scrimmage game between the camp with the winning team receiving a basketball from their favorite college/NBA team.

Building a Robot
Robotics & Makerspace Camp
