On Monday, December 5, 2022 Socrates Academy, A Public Charter School serving grades K-10 in Matthews, NC, received the honorable North Carolina Academic Growth Award.
The award was achieved during the end of the pandemic, but so many students were still struggling to regain their academic foothold, reaclimate to school schedules and classroom learning after a year of hybrid and remote instruction.
"We are so proud of all of the hard work that our students and staff put in during the uncertain periods of remote and hybrid instruction", said Elementary Assistant Principal, Stefanie Savage. "Our scholars worked so hard to make up for the time that they missed in the classroom during the previous year, and it shows."
